Extrusion pumps and equipment
Description
Extrusion pumps are suitable for pumping highly viscous products with fillers, adhesives, inks, sealants, greases, etc., directly from the original containers, sucking directly from the original containers.
Conventional piston pumps are not capable of transferring highly viscous products, as these do not flow naturally into the suction port thus creating a vacuum in the material: the pump starts to cavitate.
The operation is based on a pneumatic piston pump in conjunction with a pressure disc, which keeps the product compacted, and closed, ensuring a constant flow of product. The material that has not yet been pumped is protected, avoiding humidity, or drying by contact with air
Thanks to the pressure disc that compacts the product and the special suction valve system, the pump is able to suck in all the product. Generally these pumps are mounted on double-acting pneumatic supports that allow closing and suction directly from the container, or drum, thus allowing a quick replacement of the product container.
The numerous models available, allow to satisfy any type of requirement in relation to the handling of high viscosity fluids.
